History
Sydney was once a British Convict Country. Aborigines were the original Australians. When the World War II ended in 1945, Sydney’s residents were overwhelming white and very British. Nonwhite and non-british people lived there too. Almost everyone spoke the English language. Authorities thought that Australia was under-populated. It only has as many residents as we do in New York right now.
